Malta, May 30th, 2019 — The Founders Bank Project, the world’s first high tech banking solution aimed at bridging the gap between the traditional financial world and innovative fintech companies, has opened an office within the Malta-based Chiliz Blockchain Campus.

Backed by Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by volume, the Founders Bank Project will be a corporate challenger bank servicing the tech industry, including blockchain and other emerging technologies.

Led by Kenan Altunis and Paula Pandolfino, the Founders Bank Project is staffed by banking executives with decades of global banking experience and will position itself to provide the highest standard of compliance, responsiveness and service flexibility to those leading in technological innovation. Its mission is to provide the financial assurance and stability founders need, so that they can focus on progress and growth. The project will use the new location to lead these efforts in the heart of Malta, the “Blockchain Island”.

The Founders Bank Project will be joining the Chiliz Blockchain Campus, which already hosts the world’s largest players in the global blockchain ecosystem, including Binance, OKEx, TRON, Valora, Pundi and CoinPaprika, in what is a dedicated state-of-the-art space for cryptocurrency and blockchain companies.

The Campus is a one-stop-shop, think tank and ICO pitch centre that includes an executive floor with meeting rooms and a sky bar reception area, as well as a fully-equipped TV studio with live-streaming facilities.

Béatrice Collet, Managing Director of the Chiliz Blockchain Campus, said: “We are excited to welcome Founders Bank Project to the Campus as we believe the Chiliz Blockchain Campus is the perfect launch pad for the Founders Bank Project operations and we wish them lots of success with their project and with their licensing.”

Kenan Altunis, Chief Executive Officer of the Founders Bank Project, said: “We are delighted to set up our offices in Malta in the 14 East tower. We are currently focused on our licensing process and look forward to concluding the regulatory application in order to drive our project towards becoming a successful tech-centric bank supporting the new innovative sectors in this economy.”
