Miner Extractable Value (MEV)

Miner Extractable Value (MEV), increasingly referred to as Maximal Extractable Value, is linked to the value a miner or validator can make that is extractable by manipulating the way transactions are ordered and included in a block, typically in decentralized finance (DeFi) applications. It involves lots of predictive analysis and foresight on behalf of the miner but it can often cause harm to the wider user base.
